Default Less drops assigned for the monks!?!?

Okay,im about to rant but lets talk it out first.
Did you guys who have been a monk noticed that you get MUCH MUCH LESS drops than other professions, especially who are dealing the most damages like wars, eles, rangers. They ALWAYS get the drops assigned to them. I always see wars have their inventory full that they have to drop down some of their extra loots while I ,being a monk only have 1/3 full of inventory.

Is it my illusion or does GW screw it up.I get mad everytime farming,I heal so much to support my team, they are all dead without me and I get the less drops!

And I can say that whenever I go with PuGs, I, the Warrior, receive the least drops and that the monks get the benefits more than anyone else in the group.

If you feel so much hatred about it then just solo farm, problem solved.

they might be all dead without you, but your also dead without them, and no the drop are evened out the illusion of you recieving less is due to the 1/6, 1/8 ratio. in other words, if a good item does drop, your chances are looking shaky, like the above person "-.-" said, you can always 55, or do 2, 3 man farms.

Which shows perfectly inherent problems in the drop system.

What's this "1/6, 1/8 ratio" business? If it's not a reference to the size of the party then I want to see a source.

I just think its mental, because when i go with my monk i feel like i'm not getting any drops but when i do the same thing on my warrior a few days later i feel like i'm getting TOO many drops, of course i'm getting the same amount of drops because in the end of the fow group my inventories full at about same place in the maps, however i'm doing more work on my monk and less on my warrior which makes me think that i'm not getting payed enough on my monk and over payed on my warrior

i think he has something here...
if hes right, this is why anet hasnt nerfed solo monk farming yet. because they know monks, since they dont attack, get less drops. therefore, they let monks get their drops solo farming. anyways, i still wand quite a bit to try to get that 15^50 fellblade ive always wanted.

I play an ele, necro, ranger, monk, and a warrior. I get roughly the same amount of drops, but the quality differs. My warrior gets good stuff, while my ele gets white garbage. My necro and monk get some nice stuff. On all these characters, I spend the majority of my time with henchmen, generally because no one wants to just go out and explore or skill cap.

A couple weeks ago I went on a Deep run with my monk. Got crap drops all the way until Kanaxai's room and then when Kanaxai died, 3 out of the 4 drops were for me. So somehow, I think it all evens out in the end.

Edit: Damn my stupid spelling mistakes! ::fistshake::

I’ve noticed awhile back but it was even more so in ToPK that brought it my attention. When I was playing monk or minion master I was getting one to five drops per room, but using my ranger there was a huge difference in the drops thirty to fifty drops per room.

It’s not like that for everyone, but it’s like that for me. Oh well so now I solo.

Yay, probability is random! Call the press! WE HAVE MADE THE MONUMENTAL SCIENTIFIC DISCOVERY WHICH WILL CHANGE LIFE!

...seriously, there's no rhyme or reason to the drop assignments. Professions have no effect whatsoever.

were not talking about the professions changing the drop rate, its wheter you attack or not. with monks, u usually heal, not attack.

Back in the day when the demand for the Rotwing Bow was high I went farming for it with my monk. Of all the runs I have done, I didn't get a single drop. There was this Ele who got 3 consecutively in a 8 member party and I wouldn't doubt the possibility of him getting a 4th one if he didn't drop from the group. What are the odds of that happening in a 8 member group?

ANet _should_ make the drops completely random and not based on some action/condition that a member takes. Or get the *typo fixed*/roll* command back and have that decide where the rare/green items go.

Now I never use my monk when I go farming with PuG's unless I solo farm.

I have to disagree with this.. Although the thing I have noticed is while playing my monk I pay less attention to what drops and am less likely to go back and pick something up.

i felt mm necro gets lotsa of drops...

but then again while i was monking at naipui, my view on this COMPLETELY changed...

i was doing a boon prot monk, and like usually i was trying to grab master for naipui

then 1/4 down the track, a purple crellented dropped... i was like OK what a lucky day... 5 seconds later a GOLD 14^50, req7 15-21 crellented dropped for me... i almost fell from my chair....

then i had several purple drops as well... definitely nice...

became my best farming spot since...
